Back to LA  for our second year producing a global PSA for Free The Children!  Featuring  celebrity ambassadors Nick Jonas, Demi Lovato and Shawn Mendes, the piece challenges youth to change the world using Free The Children’s  We365 app. We365 allows users to choose the causes they care about most and take or create challenges to raise awareness, fundraise and make an impact 365 days a year.

The really cool thing about the campaign is every download of the app helps give goats– yes, goats!  Goats help to provide income to families in developing countries. For a family in a developing community, one goat can open a world of possibilities. A dairy goat means daily nutrition from milk. Selling milk means ongoing income to pay for school fees or medicine. Or a breeding goat can be an investment that will grow and one day multiply into a herd.

The PSA will premiere tonight on eTalk and begin airing globally December 26th!

We had an amazing opportunity to work with Canadian pop rockers Neverest to bring their new track ‘Someday’ to life.  Part of RBC’s #Someday campaign–for every download on iTunes,  RBC will donate a portion to Free The Children’s We Create Change campaign.  The boys are looking sharp on this classic stage at the Great Hall in Toronto, Canada. The video premiered on MTV for the broadcast of Free The Children’s preeminent event We Day in November.

Download and make a difference!

Who doesn’t think that a pirate in a bathtub is funny?  Door Knocker Media created a series of unconventional shorts for Watch for their release, coming soon!

Set to Kardinal Offishall’s “Turn It Up”, Door Knocker filmed this We Day Dance hype piece with six dance crews, 250 kids in seven locations over 48 hours. That tune is still stuck in our heads!

Free The Children’s signature event, We Day, is all about empowering a generation of young global citizens through an inspirational event. The We Day Dance video aims to deliver that same message.

“We’re firm believers in the ripple effect and we really wanted to make sure that this concept came to life in the video,” says Executive Producer Karen Barzilay. For her, the dance lives beyond the We Day event and shows youth that they’re part of something bigger than themselves. “It’s been internalized to really become this secret handshake, to be part of a club that is the Me to We Generation.”

Not long ago, Door Knocker was just an idea based on a simple principle: great people, killer content, dynamic results. That principle seems to jive with people. Before launching our site, or even settling on a name, the life cycle of client ideas, creation, release and results started to flow. We are really proud of what we’ve achieved and excited for the present that keeps posing as the future. For those of you who need engaging content to help drive your business (and let’s face it, who doesn’t), lets grab coffee. After all, we have mugs now.

We have a showreel! Check out some of our favourite Doing it Right moments.
